IT’S BEEN 31 YEARS SINCE Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt last worked together on the big screen, co-starring in director Neil Jordan’s 1994 gothic horror, Interview with a Vampire.

And it’s been 24 years since the America: A Tribute to Heroes benefit concert, the last time the pair were spotted palling around on a red carpet together.

But last night, rather unexpectedly, the two mega movie stars reconvened for the F1: The Movie premiere, looking especially chummy as they hugged, handshaked and walked arm in arm. No doubt they’ve got plenty to catch up on.

Having said that, it did appear that the duo may have been in talks about their red carpet attire, as the pair turned up in two tonal suits. Different colours, but similar vibes.

The Fight Club actor walked the blue carpet in a forest green suit: a double-breasted number finished with peak lapels. It’s suave and a bit seventies and in keeping with his look from the New York premiere last week, styled with a pair of Jacque Marie Mage sunnies from a collab with Pitt’s stylist, George Cortina. Underneath, there’s a shirt with a slight mint tint and an emerald silk scarf left untied on the inside of the piece’s collar.

Meanwhile, The Mission Impossible star parked up next to him in a classic Cruise charcoal single-breasted suit with, funnily enough, a light grey shirt.

Could they reconvene on a movie set anytime soon? “Well I’m not going to hang my ass off airplanes and shit like that,” Pitt said to E! News recently. “When he does something again that’s on the ground.” A conversation for the next premiere, perhaps.
