Ousmane Dembélé wins Ballon D'Or while wearing $500,000 watch
Ousmane Dembélé has won the 2025 Ballon d'Or and collected the trophy while wearing a rare Richard Mille

OUSMANE DEMBÉLÉ has won the 2025 Ballon d’Or, beating out his closest rival, teenager Lamine Yamal. Dembélé has gone from a case of wasted potential to the world’s best after a season where he steered Paris Saint-Germain to Champions League and Ligue 1 titles while tallying 35 goals and 16 assists across all competitions.
The honour is, undoubtedly, the biggest of Dembélé’s career. Thankfully, the Frenchman knew how to dress for the occasion. As he took to the stage to receive the trophy from former winner Ronaldinho, a subtle timepiece peeked out from under Dembélé’s cuff, causing watch spotters’ eyes to light up.

Richard Mille RM67-02 ‘Sébastien Ogier’
The watch in question is a Richard Mille valued at $500,000. More specifically, it’s the RM67-02 ‘Sébastien Ogier’, which is named for French rally driver and member of the Richard Mille racing team, Sébastien Ogier.
Featuring a 38 mm case in carbon thin ply technology (TPT) and a skeletonised black dial, the watch is assembled with a diamond-like coating that shows the French Flag on the face. This is a nod to Sebastien Ogier’s home country of France, which, coincidentally, is also Dembélé’s.

Dembélé’s closest rival, Lamine Yamal, also attended the ceremony wearing a pricy watch. The Spaniard, who finished second in the Ballon d’Or’s final ranking, opted for the newly-released 40 mm Patek Philippe Cubitus in 18-carat rose gold, featuring a brown sunburst dial. Yamal’s watch is valued at $200,000.
