JASON STATHAM WAS SPOTTED at Burberry’s spring/summer 2026 show during London Fashion Week wearing the day’s best accessory: a Rolex Submariner ‘No Date’.

The 41mm stainless steel model, with a black dial, black ceramic bezel and Oyster bracelet, is the simplest and most faithful version of Rolex’s famous dive watch.

The Submariner was introduced in 1953 without a date.

More than a decade later, Rolex launched the reference 1680 with a date window, splitting opinion among enthusiasts.

The latest No-Date Submariner, reference 124060, was launched in 2020. It introduced a slightly larger 41mm case with slimmer lugs, a broader bracelet and the calibre 3230 movement with a 70-hour power reserve. Water resistance remains 300 metres, with Rolex’s Chromalight lume and a unidirectional ceramic bezel completing the package.

Purists continue to prefer the No-Date, regarding it as the truest expression of the original design. Its symmetry, without the Cyclops lens at three o’clock, is one of the model’s defining features.

Statham once said: “If you’re going to do something, do it with style!”

He has also compared film-making to watchmaking: “A movie, it’s like a very complicated timepiece.”

His timepiece of choice is certainly the height of master mechanics on the inside, while keeping a no-nonsense aesthetic on the outside.

Much like The Stath himself.

This Sub retails for $16,050, with market prices rising as high as $20,500.
