On the ‘Wicked: For Good’ press, Jonathan Bailey uses his Sexiest Man Alive powers for good
Embarking on the global press tour for the highly anticipated sequel, the British actor is putting his new title to the test

JONATHAN BAILEY IS on one hell of a run for the holiday blockbuster season. As the 2025 recipient of the Sexiest Man Alive title by People this month, Bailey has vowed to put his new duties to good use on the Wicked: For Good press tour. “I am taking it very seriously,” he told Entertainment Weekly at the Paris premiere. “I’m gonna squeeze every ounce of sexuality I have for the next 360 days.” Indeed, squeeze, sir.
For the first instalment’s tour last year, Bailey wholeheartedly took part in the ‘method dressing’ trend that gripped celebrities and their stylists in a race for iconic red carpet moments. (There was the silver chainmail shirt, a yellow silk shirt with a white suit, and so on.) With São Paulo, Paris, London, Singapore, and New York on the itinerary, the 37-year-old British actor has so far taken to a more subdued colour palette in dark wools and clean cuts this time around.
But you’ll have to see below just how the Bridgerton star exercises his Sexiest Man Alive powers for good. This is a developing story as more fits from the tour drop.
All of Jonathan Bailey’s outfits from the Wicked: For Good press tour

Warm in Loro Piana
Ticking off a Leicester Square premiere is a bucket list moment for a British actor. For the European premiere in London, Bailey went subdued chic in a grey wool jacket, trousers, and a charcoal coat from Italian house Loro Piana’s autumn/winter 2025 collection. Pinned to his coat lapel is a red poppy, which in this case has a double meaning for Remembrance Day in the UK, and the sleeping flower in the Wicked films.

A first look at Balenciaga menswear
In Paris, Bailey is one of the first to offer a first look at Pierpaolo Piccioli’s menswear for Balenciaga. Featuring floral appliques at the collar, it’s reminiscent of look 30 from the Italian designer’s debut this past season at the Spanish couture house. As for the tailoring, consider cropped jackets and wide, billowing pants to be in Piccioli’s menswear debut in January.

Sheer shirt in a cold Paris
Bailey’s already taking the People magazine title seriously. Case in point: a sheer white T-shirt under a black leather bomber jacket from Balenciaga to brave the start of the Parisian winter.

Giving a salsa dancer in São Paolo
For his first public appearance after his Sexiest Man Alive cover reveal, Bailey took to dressing like a salsa dancer for the São Paolo premiere. A simple, all-black Gucci by Demna look with a few top buttons left undone on the shirt and accentuated with a horsebit belt – fitting for the “Dancing Through Life” actor.
