WHEN YOU HOLD a festival with Genesis Owusu, Tkay Maidza, Kim Gordon and André 3000 on the bill, you have to expect that those attending will roll up in some seriously big fits. And at Volume, the visionary concert series held inside the Art Gallery of New South Wales’ Tank, that’s exactly what happened. On a handful of cold winter evenings, Sydney’s finest showed up to witness a set of bespoke performances by some of the world’s most avant-garde artists in serious style.

From our vantage point at the Defender activation, where guests were checking out and posing for snaps inside a new Defender 110 Hybrid, we spotted all kinds of fire fits, from music producer Vince Goodyer’s colourful knit (a collab between Sydney label Wah-Wah and Yankunytjatjara artist Tiger Yaltangki) to actor Alexander Hodge, who was wearing head-to-toe Song for the Mute. Heartbreak High actors Will McDonald and Bryn Chapman Parish – who recently featured in Esquire’s Five Fits With series – also hung out at the Defender, dressed in vintage fits that would make the Hartley High crew proud.

With the second edition of the annual festival now over for another year, we take a look back at the most stylish attendees. Scroll to see if you made our gallery.
