With hundreds of the world’s most rich, famous and influential people crammed onto the same carpet for fashion’s night of nights and millions judging their outfits online (guilty), the proceedings are bound to produce hysterics â and this year didn’t disappoint, with memes flowing in from start to finish.
The theme of Met Gala memes seemingly changes far less often than the theme of the event itself. The formula typically involves the savaging of too plain an outfit choice, deriding an attendee for not adhering to the theme, or in the case of Jason Derulo, repeatedly adding to the myth that he (allegedly) fell down the stairs at the 2015 Met (he didn’t… or did he?).
