America's most famous men turn out to vote
From Jake Gyllenhaal to Will Ferrell and Spike Lee, the most influential men in the States are using their star power for good this presidential election
IF TAYLOR SWIFT endorsing Kamala Harris for President in back in September didn’t make it clear, when it comes to encouraging the masses to vote (and who to vote for), the world’s most famous people have a lot of pull.
In the lead up to the 2024 presidential election, we’ve seen America’s biggest celebrities attend rallies, pledge their support, and raise awareness of the policies each party is campaigning for. And while some of the world’s most polarising figures have chosen to endorse Trump (Elon Musk, Joe Rogan, Hulk Hogan, we’re shaking our heads at you), here, we’re going to focus on those who’ve cast their vote for Kamala Harris, as, in the words of US Esquire’s Editor in Chief Michael Sebastian, “if Trump is elected again, it will not be an aberration or a mistake – and it will dramatically redefine what it means to be an American.”
Because of America’s status as the last remaining global superpower, ‘the leader of the free world’, it will also have ripple effects well beyond the United States’ borders.
But let’s not jump to conclusions – vote counts in key swing states won’t be finished for days, and right now, the race is far too close to call. In the meantime, some of our favourite men have turned up to vote, captured selfies at the ballot box, and spread the message with their millions of fans on social media.
