Take a travel break at the luxurious Dior Spa in Dubai
WHETHER YOU’RE in need of a little recharging en route to Europe or enjoying a sojourn in Dubai, there’s nothing more pleasurable than making time for a spa appointment while travelling. Especially, with the pressures we often put on ourselves to tick off every sight, shop and sought-after eatery. We all know how exhausting overseas travel can be.
So between checking out the luxury stores of the iconic Dubai Mall and exploring the desert during sunrise safaris, why not spend a few hours—or a whole day, we won’t judge!—at Dubai’s most indulgent spa, helmed by Dior. Opening in just a matter of months, the shopping mecca and city of skyscrapers will be home to the very first Dior Spa outside of Europe.
As an extension of Dior’s special relationship with the Dorchester Collection, following previous wellness hubs at the iconic Parisian institution, Hôtel Plaza Athénée and the Es Saadi Resort in Morocco; the fashion House’s next pamper sanctuary will sit high in the Dubai sky. The particular location also follows Dior’s whimsical Haute Couture SS19 collection, presented at the Emirate of Dubai capital.
Situated on the 29th floor of the Dorchester Collection’s latest hotel jewel (and its first in the Middle East), Dior Spa The Lana promises to provide special guests an “unprecedented wellbeing experience” reflective of Dior’s elegance. Bathed in natural light, with sparkling floor-to-ceiling windows—anticipate blissful views of Dubai’s iconic landmarks such as the Burj Khalifa, Business Bay and Marasi Marina, while relishing one of their personalised treatments.
Across five specialised treatment rooms, and one couple’s suite for those travelling with their significant other, the huge Dior Spa The Lana provides Icoone Therapy, Hydrafacial, Dior Micro-Abrasion, and the renowned Dior Skin Light LED therapy mask—which uses state-of-art technology to promote cell regeneration. Aside from its classique Dior offering, The Lana also has three signature designer treatments, created exclusively for the spa: Escale at The Lana, Dior Stone Therapy and D-Sculpt. Escale, being a Japanese-inspired ritual that combines full-body stretching and massage to release tension; and D-Sculpt being a firming and sculpting session via motorised rollers. Dior Stone Therapy encourages energy flow utilising semi-precious stones strategically placed on the body. A luxurious hot stone massage, if you will.
And while Dior Spa The Lana makes use of the designer’s lavish creams, serums, and face lotions—a boutique also sells their Dior Prestige line, allowing guests to stock up and consider their at-home skincare routine—the House is thoughtfully heroed through a most Parisian chic design. With decor curated by Gilles & Boissier, a renowned French interior design duo—you’ll feel right at Dior home with lush boucle seating, calming neutrals and the House’s emblematic Toile de Jouy motif print in navy and white, and beige and cream.
“We are thrilled to announce Dior Spa The Lana, where we will perfectly capture the essence of Dior’s philosophy and expertise in wellness,” Richard Alexander, general manager of The Lana, Dorchester Collection, Dubai shared. “Dior Spa The Lana will be a destination that reflects our commitment to delivering an exceptional well-being experience for our guests.”
The Lana, Dorchester Collection, is set to open on February 1 with Dior Spa The Lana launching sometime this April. For more information and booking, visit The Dorchester collection’s website.
