WITH THE RED CARPET over and Hollywood’s most famous people packed inside the one room, the awards part of the 2025 Golden Globes is officially underway. And it’s going to be quite the marathon, with 27 categories in total, spanning both film and TV (unlike the Academy Awards, which is film-exclusive).

Like any year, this time around there were many well-deserved nominees, and some snubs. Despite being one of the buzziest films of the year, Ridley Scott’s epic Gladiator II only received two noms, one of them being the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement, which made its debut in 2024 (Barbie won). Denzel Washington, who was objectively excellent, was also nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture.

On the well-deserved list of nominees, you can find films like Babygirl, Dune: Part 2, Challengers and September 5, which follows the 1972 Munich Olympics massacre from the perspective of the ABC Sports crew and their coverage of the events. Emilia PĂ©rez and The Brutalist have earned the most film nominations, with the former earning a massive 10 nods and The Brutalist scoring seven. TV-wise, The Bear, Shogun, Baby Reindeer, Disclaimer and Monsters: the Lyle and Erik Menendez Story wracked up nominations, reminding us what a banger year 2024 was for streaming.

But who will take home the honours? Scroll on for the complete list of winners, while we’ll be updating throughout the day.

Where can I watch the Golden Globes in Australia?

This year marks the first year of a five-year agreement between the Globes and CBS, who will be broadcasting the red carpet and awards with streaming rights going to Paramount+, meaning Australian viewers can watch the 2025 Golden Globes via Channel 10, 10Play and Paramount+.

When to watch the 2025 Golden Globes in Australia

The Golden Globes will exclusively stream on Stan on January 6 at 12 p.m. to 3.pm. AEST.

How do the Golden Globes work?

Similar to how the Oscars or the Emmys votes for its winners, there is a governing body of entertainment journalists from recognised media organisations who vote for the Golden Globe winners.

Categories are a lot more diverse in terms of genre and form, so there will be a lot of winner here compared to the Oscars where the pool is smaller.
