In Venice, Jacob Elordi debuts the new Bottega Veneta
The Aussie actor offers a first look at what to expect from Louise Trotter's menswear at Bottega Veneta

BEFORE THE SPRING/SUMMER 2026 womenswear collections are presented later this month, several creative directors making their debut have been teasing the new eras of their respective houses at the Venice Film Festival. We’ve so far seen Ayo Edebiri in Mathieu Blazy’s Chanel and Alba Rohrwacher in Dior make big splashes. But no finer point has been made – when concerning all realms of celebrity style from airport fits to red carpet attire – than Jacob Elordi in a slew of Louise Trotter’s new Bottega Veneta.
The Aussie actor touched down in Venice Marco Polo airport last Thursday with a Cabat bag and Odyssey Intrecciato (the brand’s famous woven pattern) cabin bag in tow. Arriving by gondola on his first day, he wore a checked shirt with “B.V.” embroidered on the front panel and triple-pleated khakis. For the press panel, he dressed in all-white – when in Italia – with a loose shirt and pleated trousers. And at the premiere of his upcoming film Frankenstein, the six foot five inch Brisbanite walked the red carpet in a sharp double-breasted tux. Elordi’s sneaker game has veered Ozempic slim lately, so naturally it translated in his dress shoes with Bottega’s Roma lace-ups.

Elordi, who’s been an ambassador since 2024 (who can forget his debut campaign with the bunny ears?), offers the first glimpse of Trotter’s vision for menswear at Bottega. In terms of what to expect from the designer come Milan Fashion Week, it’s already an enticing vision. Billowy shapes in wide-leg pants and baggy shirts; leaning on its pillar of Italian craftsmanship for enviable luggage; trendy shoe shapes made Bottega style.
Below, all of Elordi’s Bottega fits at the Veniec Film Festival.

Take a lesson from Elordi here: when doing smart casual, high-waisted, wide-leg trousers are the way to go.

Can we make him the new Patrick Bateman already?
