We are so back: the Glasgow-born artist makes a triumphant return to the stage, announcing an Australian tour

BETWEEN KENDRICK LAMAR AT SPILT MILK, AC/DC, and now with Lewis Capaldi, our concert lineup is shaping up to be a summer of returns.

Let us explain: Capaldi revealed his diagnosis of Tourettes syndrome in 2022, after noticing ‘tics’ such as shoulder twitches whilst performing. “It’s not a big deal,” the 28-year-old said at the time, adding that some days were “more painful than others”. He would go on to take a two year hiatus from the stage, which then cancelled his Australian tour in 2023.

Most recently, Capaldi made a triumphant appearance at Glastonbury on June 27, performing to a headliner-sized crowd who embraced the Glasgow-born artist’s emotional half-hour set. He also performed at the festival in 2023, but had to cut his set short after losing his voice on stage. “Second time’s a charm on this one,” he said to the crowd. “I just wanted to come and finish what I couldn’t finish last time.” Between his classics of ‘Before You Go’, ‘Grace’, and ‘Hold Me While You Wait’, Capaldi debuted live his newest single ‘Survive’, soaring straight to number one on the UK Billboard charts.
