The one thing Lincoln Younes recommends packing for Paris Fashion Week
Between attending the Hermès runway and cocktails with Louboutin, Lincoln Younes shares his style tips to survive Paris Fashion Week.

LINCOLN YOUNES has one piece of advice when it comes to deciding what to pack for Paris Fashion Week: “A portable steamer! And a universal adaptor, of course.” It’s the kind of practical advice that you’d expect from the 33-year-old actor to offer, reflective of his own grounded, detail-driven sense of style.
Since his breakout role as Casey Braxton in Home & Away, Younes has built a reputation as one of Australia’s most faceted actor. He tackles roles that require a certain level of grit, like his turn as Sydney kingpin John Ibrahim in Last King of The Cross, with as much fervour as he does those with a little more cheek. Literally, in some cases.
When it comes to style, Younes requires a similar versatility to his wardrobe. It has to fit the brief but express a certain sense of character. Particularly so when it comes to a busy fashion week schedule that included attending the Hermès Men’s Spring 2026 show and resee, a look in at Swedish brand Acne’s SS26 presentation before swinging by the Louboutin cocktail soiree at Hotel de Crillon. To make it through the week and a particularly steamy Paris summer, Younes took a finessed yet fluid approach to packing.
Esquire followed Younes on his Paris sojourn, photographed by local artist Ryan Cullen, to see how he spent his time in one of the world’s most stylish cities, to discover where to stay, what to eat and importantly, what to wear.

Esquire: You’re in Paris for the spring/summer 2026 menswear shows. Which designers or collections were you most excited to see this season?
Lincoln Younes: Hermès of course. They always typify masterful, chic textures and fabrics. I was excited for Jonathan Anderson’s appointment and the anticipated Dior reveal. And Louis Vuitton, too – they always put on an amazing show and have very cool collections.

Have any standout pieces or collections caught your eye already?
The latticed leather pieces Hermès presented were stunning. The cross-weave allowed texture, style and cool airflow – something very sought after during this steamy Parisian heatwave!
How would you describe your personal style philosophy?
Monochromes. Coordinated, coloured layering tied together by an accessory or pair of shoes. Quality, looser fabrics that keep shape but aren’t restrictive. And sometimes, one-off extremes – only beholden to how I’m feeling that day.

What’s one item you never travel without during Fashion Week?
My Hublot watch. It’s a Spirit of Big Bang King Gold Blue Ceramic.
What are you eating?
Steak frites. French onion soup (I know it’s too hot for this, but I love it). And bread. Oh, so much wonderful bread.

Anything you’d love to wear straight off the runway?
I’m going back to Australian winter, so one of the Hermès Leather jackets would be ideal for warmth, style and durability. Getting to see the craftsmanship of Louboutin up close at their presentation at Hotel de Crillon was special. Spotted some favourites I’d love to wear for black-tie events later this year. And of course, I’d love to add all the Acne Studios jeans and shirts from their very cool showroom presentation to my personal wardrobe.
Where are you staying?
Hotel Alfred Sommier. It was once a family home that maintains this incredible grandeur, combined with its unique art and personal frills. And those windows and high ceilings in each room are so beautiful.
