DEDICATED TO ‘DANDY DOG LOVERS’, Louis Vuitton’s spring/summer 2025 pre-collection is the wardrobe we aspire to walk our good boys and girls in.

Designed by Pharrell Williams, the collection is inspired by “the cosmopolitan culture of dogs and the humans that walk them”, which might just be the most endearing proposal to come from a luxury fashion house in years.

According to the current creative director of the French maison, the collection forms “a study of the discerning mentality of the canine-keeping city lifestyle.” Personally, my canine-keeping lifestyle is far from discerning – while she’s cute to look at, my chihuahua would bare her teeth at a great dane, which means our walks often end in me apologising to other dog owners for her poor attitude. Perhaps she’s just trying to tell me she needs a new LV leash?

Underlined by Pharrell’s signature dandy aesthetic, the collection takes its cues from the preppy primness of English dog shows, while the flair of New York’s dog walking community blends the traditional with the new.

A trans-seasonal offering, varsity jackets and denim jeans printed with the LV monogram are among our favourite pieces, while the accessories are phenomenal. Rosettes – like the kind you might win for Best in Show – embellish bags and outerwear, while a sleek black beret also comes in a ‘mini-me’ dog version, so you can hit the cafe matching your favourite pooch.

Speaking of favourite pooches, when we had the opportunity to photograph this special ‘Dog Lvrs’ collection recently, we knew it couldn’t be done without a small pack of cool pooches. So we invited some of Sydney’s top dogs to a photoshoot, gave them some time in the grooming chair and let them strut their stuff, work their angles, steal the show.

Lucy, our production manager’s staffy cross, was especially fond of the collection’s denim, while Archie the french bulldog enjoyed zipping in and out of the bags. Frank the Samoyed couldn’t stop smiling, while Fig, the greyhound, was a little bashful in front of the lens.

My chihuahua, Bonnie, didn’t get the call up – I was told the crew didn’t want any growling on set. But the dogs that did show up behaved perfectly, giving the collection the sniff, paw print and tail wag of approval.

Now, which look will you be taking to the dog park next?
