TAG Heuer just dropped three new watches in time for the Monaco Grand Prix
Celebrating its return as title sponsor of the Monaco Grand Prix, TAG Heuer unveils three striking new additions to the Monaco collection.

WE EXPECTED TAG HEUER to mark its return as title sponsor of the Monaco Grand Prix with something bold – maybe a refreshed dial here, a limited-edition case there. But three new Monacos, all dropped just days before the most glamorous race of the season? That wasn’t on our grid.
Then again, the Monaco isn’t your typical watch. It never has been. First launched in 1969 with its unorthodox square case and left-hand crown, the Monaco tore up the rulebook – and hasn’t looked back since. It’s been worn by racing royalty and Hollywood icons alike, but it’s always belonged on the track.
This year’s trio of releases leans hard into that heritage. There’s a stopwatch-inspired chronograph that draws on Heuer’s racing roots, a Gulf-branded model with a skeleton dial, and a split-seconds chronograph that’s as technically impressive as it is visually arresting. Each one is a reminder that TAG Heuer knows how to build watches that keep up – on the circuit and off it.
Read on to find all the details of TAG Heuer’s latest Monaco releases.

What new TAG Heuer Monacos were revealed ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix?
TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph Stopwatch
Meet the Monaco Chronograph Stopwatch — a limited-edition timepiece inspired by Heuer’s original stopwatches from the ’60s and ’70s. Designed for precision and built with racing DNA in its bones, this model revives a classic motorsport aesthetic with a modern edge. The black circular dial layout is punctuated by white and red accents, echoing the high-contrast visuals of vintage timing instruments.
The 39mm case is crafted from sandblasted black DLC-coated titanium — lightweight and durable — and paired with a black perforated calfskin strap that nods to the racing gloves of F1’s golden era. Inside ticks the Calibre 11 movement, a deliberate throwback to the Monaco’s original engine. A red chronograph hand, bold minute track, and left-positioned crown complete the retro-futurist feel, staying true to the Monaco’s rule-breaking roots.
Only 970 pieces will be made — a number chosen to reflect the era that shaped Heuer’s motorsport dominance.

TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph x Gulf
A longstanding motorsport partnership gets a fresh update with the Monaco Chronograph x Gulf. This 39mm edition features a silver fine-grained dial punctuated by Gulf’s signature blue and orange stripes, with black opaline subdials, rhodium-plated hands, and an orange lacquered chronograph hand adding contrast and clarity.
The sandblasted Grade 2 titanium case offers a lightweight, matte finish, complemented by a domed sapphire crystal and left-side crown — a signature Monaco detail. Powered by the Calibre 11, the watch remains faithful to the original’s design codes, right down to the angled date window at six o’clock.
It’s paired with a white textile strap with orange stitching and an additional blue perforated calfskin strap.

TAG Heuer Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph
The most technically ambitious of the three, the Monaco Split-Seconds Chronograph is built for those who take timing seriously. With a split-seconds (or rattrapante) function — capable of measuring two intervals at once — this watch delivers serious racing functionality. It’s housed in TH-Titanium, a proprietary alloy developed in-house and texturised through a thermal process that reveals an organic, almost living pattern across the case.
Under the sapphire dial, you’ll find an open-worked layout with opaline counters, lime green accents, and a movement that weighs just 30 grams. That’s the Calibre TH81-00, developed with Vaucher Manufacture and built almost entirely from titanium. It’s visible through a full sapphire caseback, where a racing-striped rotor shaped like the TAG Heuer shield appears to float mid-air.
