IT’S NO SECRET that Tyler, the Creator is a huge Supreme fan. Before his metamorphosis into the button-up-loving, loafer-wearing Flower Boy, Tyler could often be spotted wearing the iconic New York-based label in music videos, at live performances or on the street. He even rapped about the brand. In the music video for ‘She’, Tyler, decked out in a blue Supreme hoodie, delivers the line “Got them gold ninja stars and red Supreme nunchucks” – proving that it wasn’t just the clothes he was infatuated with.

This was no one-way street. Tyler brought millions of new fans to Supreme, lifting the brand to such heights that they became game enough to start releasing branded crowbars and handsaws – in case you’re a construction worker who likes big, bold red tools, we guess?

Such was the association between Tyler and Supreme that fans came to believe that a collaboration was inevitable. However, that team-up never came. Tyler changed gears, Supreme became, well, Supreme, and the collab looked like it would never happen. That was, until a bunch of flyers popped up around London showing Tyler wearing an unreleased Supreme t-shirt.

Tyler, the Creator and Supreme flyer campaign in London

A bunch of posters displaying Tyler, The Creator wearing some Supreme merch with the brand’s iconic bogo – that’s box logo, for the uninitiated – have shown up strewn across London.

The posters arrived unannounced, with seemingly no links to a new Supreme campaign. Then, Supreme’s Instagram account posted some shots of Tyler wearing their merch, with the caption ‘Tyler, The Creator for Supreme, 2024’. That reads more like a modelling credit than an announcement of an official collab, so maybe we hold off on popping the champagne.

What could Tyler, the Creator’s collab with Supreme look like?

If nothing else, the new images at least tell us that Supreme and Tyler, the Creator are working together. Whether it’s a one-off photoshoot or something bigger remains to be seen, but these are positive signs – especially because we can’t find the T-shirt Tyler’s wearing anywhere. Chances are the shirt was specifically created for Tyler and was likely inspired by his ‘Mr Green Hat’ nickname.

With that in mind, a clothing collection link up seems likely. Although, some are speculating that there could be something else in the works. Rumours are suggesting that Tyler could be up for a job as Supreme’s creative director. The position has been vacant since Tremaine Emory left it in 2023, so he wouldn’t be taking anyone’s spot. Again, this is pure speculation, but who wouldn’t want to see Tyler get the job?

In short, a Tyler, the Creator x Supreme collab that should’ve happened a long time ago is likely coming soon. Whether it’s something more than that, we can’t confirm. Watch this space.

Is Tyler, the Creator coming to Australia in 2024?

At the time of writing, Tyler, the Creator has no plans to tour Australia in 2024. Right now, the most obvious thing stopping him is the lack of a new album to tour with. He most recently visited our shores in 2022, as part of his ‘Call Me if You Get Lost’ tour and hasn’t released a new album since. Once we get another album, we’re sure there’ll be another tour. Hopefully a collab with Supreme doesn’t cause any delays on that front.
