David Beckham kicks off Wimbledon with a one-of-one diamond Tudor Heritage Chrono
The former pro footballer was gifted a one-off Tudor timepiece to celebrate his 50th birthday

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to David Beckham, who marked 50 trips around the sun on May 2. One of the perks to being one of the most famous people in the world, and in true Becks fashion, the former pro footballer’s milestone was marked with a custom-made diamond Tudor Heritage Chrono. Not one to take it out of the box immediately, either, Beckham debuted the one-off timepiece yesterday on day one of Wimbledon, officially kicking off watch-spotting on the Lawn.
The iced-out treatment brings the Heritage Chrono into uncharted territory. Known for its stainless steel durability and 150 metre water resistance, Becks’ is not the kind of watch you’d wear to plummet the depths of our ocean – this is Wimbledon. Covering the bezel, lugs, jubilee bracelet and dial, the birthday timepiece was, indeed, celebrated with diamonds. (Now, we’re wondering about the next gem-stone will be to mark his next milestone.) With all those rocks, it quickly exceeds the model’s affordable market value, which starts at around $5,500.
In keeping with the watch’s classic, 1970s feel, Beckham wore a stone grey double breasted suit with a blue shirt and brown knitted tie. The panda dial also pops against his tatts, as it slides out of his sleeves as he goes for a clap or a Rodin-Thinker’s pose mid-match.

Becks is no stranger to Tudor, either. Some of his most memorable timepieces worn while sitting in the Wimbledon stands over the years have been from the Swiss watchmaker, including a Tudor Black Bay Chrono S&G in 2019, then rocking a Tudor Black Bay 58 18K with a Wimbledon green dial in 2023. And paired with his tattoos, the unlikely contrast of metal and ink has been a fruitful repositioning for the brand since enlisting Becks in 2017 as a brand ambassador, giving them a rough-around-the-edges-feel. We’re reminded why the partnership is so striking here, too, as he wears a bandage around his right wrist.
