Andrew Garfield’s low-key Omega might be the coolest watch at Wimbledon 2025
Quietly, the perfect summer wristwear

ANDREW GARFIELD made a rare public appearance at Wimbledon this week, turning up on Centre Court to support British player Sonay Kartal.
He was joined by American actress Monica Barbaro – their first public outing as a couple.
Adhering rather literally to the Wimbledon dress code, Garfield arrived in an all-white look: a short-sleeve cargo pocket shirt, tailored trousers and a white cable-knit jumper draped over his shoulders – despite the ongoing heatwave.

On his wrist was the Omega De Ville Trésor – a refined dress watch with a 40mm stainless steel case and black leather strap.
Though the Trésor name dates back to 1949, the modern version is far from a simple heritage reissue. It’s a watch that blends vintage-inspired design with advanced contemporary engineering.
The latest models, including Garfield’s, feature a slim profile and a striking “clous de Paris” patterned dial, while inside sits a highly technical manually wound movement that reflects Omega’s modern approach to precision and reliability.
Prices for current models start at around $12,550, depending on the configuration and case material.
As a summer dress watch, it excels in ways many others don’t.
The lightweight construction, modest 10.4mm case height and manually-wound calibre mean it sits flat and comfortable on the wrist – it’s not bulky, or flashy.
Its warm dial textures and minimal complications keep it visually calm and wearable even in strong light.
What’s more, it’s formal enough to handle tailored settings, but light enough to feel natural in the heat.

Garfield has worn this particular model before – at the Tick, Tick… Boom! premiere in 2021 and again courtside at a Lakers game in 2023 – suggesting it’s from his own collection rather than a loaner from the brand.
In recent years, he’s also been seen favouring Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Reverso line, including a rose gold Tribute Calendar at the Oscars, as well as a chronograph model at a magazine afterparty.
While it wasn’t the flashiest watch we’ve seen at the tournament – David Beckham wore a custom Tudor, and Russell Crowe went bold with a platinum Daytona – Garfield’s choice stood out for different reasons.
Quiet, thoughtful and rich in detail, it reflects a taste for substance over spectacle.
The Trésor isn’t a showpiece; it’s a quietly confident companion – not least when the mercury is hitting 30 degrees.
