The magic and mastery of Montblanc leather
From ink blue to deep burgundy, Montblanc's luxury leather goods are built to last a lifetime.
THE ENGLISH TRANSLATION of the German word ‘Meisterstück’ is ‘masterpiece’. It’s a word that’s been associated with Montblanc, which was founded in Germany in 1906, for over a century. It informed the meticulous craftsmanship of the brand’s writing instruments, which remain among the world’s most collectable. But more recently, the word ‘Meisterstück’ has been embraced by another of the brand’s covetable ranges: Montblanc leather.
Montblanc established its first leather goods workshop in 1926, crafting small leather goods and pouches for its pens. Today, however, the brand’s leather offering has evolved to include elegant briefcases, weekend bags, card holders and totes. For the sophisticated guy, the Meisterstück collection marries the softest, supplest leather with a rich swatch of tonal colours—ink blue, burgundy, black and our personal favourite, a dusty grey known as ‘forged iron’.
If you thought finding the perfect bag was a futile quest—finding something that’s practical and spacious while still looking high-qual can be a challenge—one look at this collection and you’ll probably want it all. A briefcase for the office; crossbody bag for the weekend and passport holder for the overseas trip you’re planning.
On the set of our recent photoshoot, the range of bags earned the teams’ tick of approval. And if you’re in the market for something new, we’re confident these pieces will earn your tick of approval, too.
