Untamed
Untamed stars a pair of Antipodean talents in Eric Bana and Sam Neill. It’s a mystery thriller set in Yosemite National Park. Bana plays investigative services agent Kyle Turner, while Neill is chief park ranger Paul Souter. After the discovery of a dead body, the pair are plunged into the wilderness to investigate, soon finding that the killer knows Yosemite as well as they do.
Glass Heart
This Japanese musical drama plays like a nightmare for a musician. Saijo Akane is kicked out of his band right before their big break. Feeling dejected, Akane is recruited by a reclusive genius to join his new group, TENBLANK. The series follows the ensemble’s ensuing rise to stardom, growing pains and other challenges on the path to fame.
The Sandman, season 2
Netflix is in a troubled spot with this big-budget adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s fantasy novels. With the writer facing sexual assault allegations, the series seems to be coming to an abrupt end. The on-screen series wraps up with its second and final season in July, with Tom Sturridge returning as Lord Morpheus. The personification of dreams is part of a dysfunctional family of cosmic beings that includes the embodiments of various feelings, states and fates. Morpheus escapes captivity at the start of the series and now must restore order to his realm, the dreaming.

Happy Gilmore 2
Almost 30 years since the release of the original, Happy Gilmore is returning to the big screen for a sequel. Most of the main cast is back, including the all-important Adam Sandler, Julie Bowen, Ben Stiller and Christopher McDonald – could Shooter McGavin finally get his revenge? Sandler’s own daughter is also slated to appear, alongside Margaret Qualley and Bad Bunny, who plays a lowly caddy. We doubt it can top the original, but expect plenty of callbacks.
Nosferatu
Robert Eggers revamps the 1922 silent classic and Bram Stoker’s Dracula in what has come to be widely regarded as one of the best horror films of 2024. Making it’s streaming debut in July, Nosferatu is set in 1830s Europe and follows estate agent Thomas Hutter (Nicholas hoult), who travels to Transylvania for a fateful meeting with Count Orlok, a prospective client and secret vampire. Meanwhile, Hutter’s newlywed bride Ellen (Lily-Rose Depp) has been having horrifying visions of impending doom. The script, sets, costuming and production are really something, with gothic old Europe beautifully realised.
The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes
Based on the first book chronologically in Suzanne Collins’ Hunger Games series, The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes provides a backstory for Coriolanus Snow, the future President of Panem. Snow wasn’t always the tyrant we know from the original trilogy. There was a time when he was a promising student chosen to serve as the mentor to Lucy Gray Baird, a tribute from District 12, in the 10th Hunger Games. So, what changed? As Snow and Gray’s relationship blooms, a series of moral conflicts emerge, providing the spark for Snow’s change in character.
