Superstars are so back with the new Song For The Mute x Adidas Originals collab

Here at the Esquire office, we’re big fans of the adidas Superstars. A cultural phenomenon in the late ’90s and early 2000s, the shell-toed sneaker has been staging a quiet comeback in the saturated slim sneaker market. So not only were we elated to find it at the centre of Adidas Originals’ fifth collaboration with Australian fashion brand Song For The Mute, but its comeback in 2025 is all but certain.

The iconic sneaker has been revisited in soft vegetable-tanned suede that’s more tactile than the classic smooth leather. (And because of its supple construction, the back folds down for a slip-on style.) Released in three colours of brown, off-white and black with white flecks, the inspiration of the collection stems from the natural world and pastoral life. Whites are milky; browns are toasted into earthy hues.

To complete the look is the Adidas tracksuits. In two colourways of black and brown, the design features curves of natural forms with contrasting panels, cut to a relaxed fit. Other garments include T-shirts and shepherd-like knits with embroidered designs, colours washed into an aged patina as is SFTM’s specialty.

Pharrell, Moët & Chandon want you to party like it’s your birthday

From Paul Newman’s 40th to Scarlett Johansson’s 30th and this writer’s own 31st, Moët & Chandon has been poured and enjoyed at some of history’s most iconic birthday parties. As such, the champagne maison’s latest collaboration with creative polymath Pharrell Williams pays homage to the magic of birthday celebrations, with a limited edition release of Brut Impérial decked out in a bow inspired by the original that dressed bottles in 1889. Also included in the collaboration is a Jewel Masterpiece 3L Jeroboam, limited to only 30 bottles. Its bejewelled bow takes over 300 hours of handwork and 7,310 pearled beads to create.

“When I was old enough to toast with champagne for the first time, Moët & Chandon was my point of reference,” says Pharrell of the collaboration. “I suppose it’s just a tradition, it’s the ritual. The best part about a birthday are the people who want to celebrate it with you.”

Of course, it doesn’t need to be your birthday in order to enjoy this collaboration. Make like Pharrell in the campaign video and grab a bottle as you zip to whoever is blowing out their candles next.

Bollinger’s new Pinot Noir is an exercise in delicate and complex winemaking

The latest pinot noir from champagne maison Bollinger will pair nicely with your next citrus fruit-infused dish. Pouring this liquid gold, PN VZ19 brings orchard fruits to mind upon holding it up to your nose, followed by a red and exotic impression; it’s that sweet citrus with the Granny Smith acidity that interplays with the silky texture. Sourced from Verzenay, and blended with other villages including Aÿ, Avenay, Louvois, Mutigny and Tauxières, this expressive cuvée will be enjoyed by novices and even the most passionate of wine enthusiasts.

1755 was the year the first English dictionary was published. But on the Continent, in the city of Geneva, this was also the founding year of Vacheron Constantin. To mark 270 years in the business, the Swiss watchmaker has opened an exhibition in Abu Dhabi that journeys through nearly three centuries of excellence and craftsmanship. Titled ‘The Quest’, guests will be walked through some of the brand’s key pieces from throughout its history, as well as a showcase of what’s to come. On display will be a specially designed piece featuring the Abu Dhabi celestial sky chart and the first-ever Vacheron Constantin Majlis. The exhibition will be making the rounds in other key markets throughout the year, so watch this space to see if your city is next.

‘The Quest: 270-years of seeking excellence’ Abu Dhabi exhibition will end on April 15, 2025. Learn more about the exhibition here.

Its twin subdials recall the “burn rate” indicator in aircraft cockpits.

The new Omega Seamaster Diver 300M in bronze gold and burgundy does more than tell time – it makes a statement. Crafted from Omega’s exclusive bronze gold alloy (think gold, palladium, and silver), it resists corrosion and develops a rich patina over time, much like a fine bottle of whisky.

The 42mm case, paired with the bold burgundy bezel, exudes elegance, while the vintage Super-LumiNova diving scale ensures you’re always on time, whether diving deep or just enjoying a night out. Choose between the brushed bronze gold mesh bracelet or the sleek black rubber strap with a bronze gold buckle – either way, this watch strikes the perfect balance between elegance and rugged performance.

Inside, it’s powered by the Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8806, ensuring precision, performance, and magnetic resistance that’s certified by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS).

If you want a watch that makes a splash, this is your dive buddy.

Out of all the English pop-star’s side-quests, running the Tokyo Marathon was not on our 2025 bingo card. He wasn’t shabby either, clocking a finishing time of 3:24:07 and a gross time of 3:37:19, according to marathon records, placing 6,010th out of more than 20,000 runners. And in true Styles-fashion, the 31-year-old ran it his way with a pair of District Vision Junya Racer wrap frames to complete the 42.2 km journey from Shinjuku to Tokyo Station. On his feet, meanwhile, were a pair of Nike Alphafly 3s, a men’s road racing shoe that helps “push you beyond what you thought possible”. Indeed!

Celine spring/summer 2025 arrives in-stores

Outgoing Celine designer Hedi Slimane is known for his razor sharp indie sleaze suiting, a style that’s rooted in his deep fascination with British tailoring. For his spring/summer 2025 collection (a short film about it, Bright Young Things, was released last year), Slimane looked to the English countryside and literature like Vile Bodies for the lithe and elegant men of the early 20th century. It was a collection of daywear tailoring to frolic around the grounds of your estate in; rowing jackets with slim ties nod to school uniforms. Pinstripe suiting and velvet attire were also stand-outs from the collection. Arriving just in time for southern hemisphere autumn/winter, you won’t be sweating through these suits, which you can now finally buy at Celine stores and online. Given they’re part of Slimae’s final collection for the French house, you’d be smart to get in quick.
