Kylian Mbappé just gave us a first glimpse at Jonathan Anderson’s Dior debut
Kylian Mbappé offers a first look at Dior Men’s Summer 2026 under new creative director Jonathan Anderson.

THERE’S SOMETHING ABOUT A TEASER that hits harder when it’s done right. And leave it to Dior – with Jonathan Anderson now at the helm – to get it just right. In a pair of short, playful videos released ahead of the spring/summer 2026 menswear show, Dior ambassador and Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé offers a first look at Anderson’s debut collection for the house. And even in just a few frames, the message is clear: this is a new era.
It’s a big moment. Anderson, who recently stepped in as Dior Men’s creative director following Kim Jones’ exit, has long been celebrated for his ability to blend character, craft, and quiet subversion. His work at Loewe has shaped the way we dress now – turning the offbeat into the aspirational – and it’ll be fascinating to see how he channels that energy through the lens of Dior.
In the teasers, Mbappé, one of the most recognisable athletes in the world, appears relaxed, confident, and totally himself – dressed in pieces that nod to tailoring, sport, and something a little more playful in between.
“Kylian Mbappé is the voice of a generation,” says Anderson. “These films show the charm and charisma that make him the perfect ambassador for this House.” And he’s right. It’s the kind of casting that doesn’t feel forced. It feels natural. And in fashion, that’s gold.
The full Dior Summer 2026 show takes place this Friday, June 27, at 10:30pm AEST – streamed live from 10pm. If these first glimpses are anything to go by, it won’t just be a new chapter for the brand. It might be a whole new playbook.
