A CORONER’S REPORT has revealed the cause of actor Angus Cloud’s death to be “acute intoxication” due to the “combined effects of methamphetamine, cocaine, fentanyl and benzodiazepines”. The coroner also confirmed the overdose was an accident.

Cloud was found dead in his parents’ California home on July 31st.

Best known for his role as Fezco “Fez” O’Neill on Euphoria, Cloud starred in the first and second seasons of the series, alongside Zendaya and Hunter Schafer. Cloud’s character quickly became a fan favourite, and his performance garnered widespread praise. Production of the show’s third season has not yet begun. Cloud also appeared in films The Line and North Hollywood, as well as two other projects that are yet to be released.

“It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today,” Cloud’s family said in a statement at the time of his death. “As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways.”

Cloud’s family also stated at the time that the actor had struggled with the recent death of his father. “Last week he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend,” they said in August. Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence.”

“We hope the world remembers him for his humour, laughter and love for everyone. We ask for privacy at this time as we are still processing this devastating loss.”

Tributes have flooded in since Cloud’s death, with those who knew him expressing sympathy towards his family, and sharing their memories of the actor.
