WHEN DAVID BECKHAM WALKED INTO WINDSOR CASTLE to collect his knighthood, the headlines almost wrote themselves. But this time, it wasn’t the title that drew the eye – it was the tailoring.

The former England captain wore a three-piece morning suit designed by Victoria Beckham, marking her first foray into menswear. British mohair, clean lines, and a cut that spoke the language of quiet power — it was Beckham’s most considered look yet.

Two decades after their first royal appearance for his OBE – he in tails, she in head-turning lace – the Beckhams returned as a united front. Victoria in navy, David in her design. The symmetry was poetic, the execution, pure Beckham.

He later revealed that the look was inspired by King Charles himself. “He was quite impressed with my suit,” Beckham said.

“He’s kind of the most elegantly dressed man that I know, so he inspired quite a few of my looks over the years – and he definitely inspired this one. I looked at old pictures of him when he was quite young in morning suits and I was like, OK, that’s what I want to wear, so I gave it to my wife and she did it.”

It was a family affair, too. Romeo, Cruz and Harper joined to celebrate, with Romeo posting a sweet tribute on Instagram: “No one deserves this more than you, love you so much xxx. Congrats Sir dad.”

A knight in custom Victoria Beckham – it doesn’t get more British, or more Beckham, than that.
