THE NEW HOTTEST new couple in Hollywood isn’t even a couple, but their chemistry is certainly off the charts. Over the weekend, actors Robert Downey Jr and Stanley Tucci enjoyed a sweet meal together — cooked, of course, by the Tucci the reborn foodie — and shared their incredibly romantic evening to Instagram, where the entirety of the social media platform has now fallen in love with them.

Downey Jr shared a Reel of his dining experience at “Casa Tucci”, set to the tunes of Frank Sinatra’s “When You’re Smiling (The Whole World Smiles With You)”. Honestly, it’s quite cinematic — Christopher Nolan, watch out. We’ve got mise en scène to set the mood, featuring Tucci’s enviable amount of Le Creuset casserole dishes. We’ve got a long shot with Tucci cooking in the background as some freshly baked baguette rests in the foreground. We’ve got POV action shots of water boiling and fish being served. We’ve even got a sweet little kiss on the cheek for Tucci at the end of it all.

“Truly a gem of a fella, & Felicity made me feel like family. Check out @stanleytucci in Searching for Italy,” Downey Jr captioned his Reel, giving a shout-out to Tucci’s wife Felicity, the literary agent sister of actor Emily Blunt who he met while filming The Devil Wears Prada with Blunt in 2005.

Meanwhile, in Tucci’s post for the occasion, we’re treated to a little behind-the-scenes detail on the main course for the evening: “Cod alla livornese,” Tucci explains, which is a recipe for cod inspired by the Tuscan city of Livorno. Tucci’s recipe includes “onions, a little bit of garlic, fresh tomato, basil, black olives, green olives, and capers”.

The adorable dinner date comes after Tucci joined Robert Downey Jr and the rest of his cast mates — including Tucci’s sister-in-law, Emily Blunt — at their Parisienne premiere for Oppenheimer.

“I’m cooking for 12 people, hence the four pans,” Tucci says in the video. Was it a whole cast-wide dinner, we wonder?

“Oh to be a guest at Stanley’s dinner party,” commented one follower, and boy do we agree. “Am I the only one who suddenly wants a movie where RDJ and Tucci play a married couple?” asked another, echoing our very own thoughts. Perhaps it could be a cooking-style rom-com, à la Julie & Julia — we can only dream.
