Jeremy Strong completes his all-pink look with a $373k watch
Another "Strong" look on the Cannes red carpet

BY NOW, audiences have come to associate Jeremy Strong with a particular kind of rigour – in his performance and presentation alike.
The actor, best known for being Kendall Roy in Succession, has cultivated not only a reputation for immersive method acting, but also for a distinct sartorial consistency: a wardrobe built around a single colour at a time.

Strong often appears in monochrome, a quiet but striking uniform that ranges from his signature earthy browns – what he once described as “monastic chic” – to deep forest greens and, more recently, soft pastel pink.
His commitment to chromatic discipline is impressive.
One year it was a turquoise velvet suit at the Golden Globes.
The next, a head-to-toe mint-green look, glasses included, for a film premiere.
This week in Cannes, where Strong is serving on the festival’s competition jury, that tonal clarity returned – in pink.

He arrived on the Croisette in a soft blush corduroy suit, paired with a matching bucket hat and blush Lanvin trainers.
And then there was his watch.
Peeking from beneath the sleeve was a Richard Mille RM 16-02 Automatic Extraflat – a terracotta-toned watch crafted from Quartz TPT, a composite material known for its durability, featherlight feel and marbled texture.
Designed with an ultra-thin case, the OTT timepiece features a skeletonised dial that reveals its intricate inner workings: a platinum-weighted rotor, an oversize date display and a complex network of bridges and gears arranged with architectural precision.
Retail price: around £180,000 (or $373,000 AUD).

This isn’t Strong’s first alignment with Richard Mille.
At the 2024 Met Gala, he wore the RM UP-01 – a wafer-thin marvel at 1.75 millimetres – alongside a custom Loro Piana suit and a single earring.
Before that, at the premiere of The Apprentice, Strong wore a green velvet suit, green-tinted glasses and a diamond-set RM 72-01 on a forest green strap.
What, exactly, is Strong signalling with these looks?
They are too composed to be whimsical, and too consistent to be accidental.
He certainly seems to be enjoying himself.
And, as the watchmaker Richard Mille himself once said, managing to evoke a sense of “wow”.
