HAVE YOU BEEN A GOOD BOY? Do you always come running when called? Never whine when you’re bored, growl when you’re scared, or bite when you’re angry? Can you be left home alone and not chew the furniture or pee on the carpet?

If you can answer in the affirmative to all of the above (one tail wag for yes, two for no) — or even just one of them (hey, we all chew the furniture occasionally) then Pharrell Williams has treats for you.

The creative director’s spring/summer 2025 pre-collection for the French luxury house celebrates dogs and their owners, and it offers a pet superstore of delights for stylish dog-walkers, and their furry best friends.

As the owner of a deeply fashionable hound of my own — thanks for asking: Woody, whippet, three-and-a-half — and a borderline obsessive lover of all dogs, not just my own (don’t tell Woody) the DOG LVERS collection, as Williams styles it, with its celebration of the “canine-keeping city lifestyle”, has a Pavlovian appeal — whisper the words “Louis”, “Vuitton” or “treats” and Woody will start salivating.

Specifically inspired by the dapper dog walkers of New York City, as well as the preppy sartorial codes of dog shows (a welcome nod to English tradition there), the collection includes sharp tailoring and playful workwear, bags, shoes and jewellery, much of it decorated with portraits, patterns and graphics featuring dogs in all their multifarious magnificence. Plus, a new line of products just for them: leads, bandanas and — best in show — berets for dogs!
