Everything you need to know about Paypal Melbourne Fashion Festival's 'Suit Up' runway
From Reigner to Tomba and Par Moi, some of our favourite local menswear brands will be sending their collections down the runway in Melbourne this Wednesday night.

THE MENSWEAR offering in Australia might be small compared to its womenswear counterpart, but rest assured, thereās a brand for every guy. Whether you wear made-to-measure suits to the office, like to keep it casual on the weekend or slip into a bedazzled suit on special occasions, you can and you will find your aesthetic tribe. And this Wednesday evening, youāll be able to find it on the runway inside the ornate halls of Melbourneās Royal Exhibition Building as part of the PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festivalās Suit Up menswear runway, supported by Esquire.Ā
Kicking off at 7 PM, the runway will feature a handful of brandsāsome established stalwarts, others emerging namesāthat are putting their own unique spin on menswear and unisex clothing. In the established corner, thereās Dom Bagnato, the tailor who began his fashion career in the family garage in 1984, and continues to dress Australian men in fine, Italian-inspired suiting today. MJ Bale, the tailoring brand that launched in 2009 and is now synonymous with office, race and evening wear in Australia will also be on show, as will Chris Ran Lin, the Melbourne designer known for his technical approach to knitwear, and Godwin Charli, another of the cityās most trusted tailors.
Meanwhile, labels that have recently branched into unisex and menswear threads, like Silk Laundry and Par Moi, will also send their breezy linen shirts and swishy silk pants down the runway. The fact both brands have chosen to take part in the Suit Up runway is proof that while female shoppers remain their bread and butter, Aussie guys are also buying and wearing their pieces.
Tombaās modern twist on preppy classics will also hit the runway, as will pieces by Reigner, the āAustralian label tailored for the metropolitan city slicker that dreams to be in the outdoorsā. Reignerās rhinestone-rich, ranch-inspired tailoring is catnip for those who donāt wish to settle for conventional suits, and a hit among the new wave of āinner westernā country music enthusiasts from Melbourne to Sydney and beyond.
